More than the clothes we create, Gap Inc. is defined by its people. Meet some of the talented people who make Gap Inc. great. #WeAreGapInc
What do you do for Gap Inc.?
I'm responsible for Gap Brand Reporting, Budgeting for the Divisions, and Tool Making.
What inspires you?
When my team and I affect the business in a positive way. Whether it’s creating reporting that provides people with information they need, or making tools that helps people do their jobs better, hopefully everything we do makes processes smoother.
Plain/Basic. T-shirt and jeans with a pair of Nikes. In cold weather, I will go with a tech fleece and a beanie or hat.
A running shirt, shorts, high socks, and Nike Zoom Flys for running. A t-shirt, hoodie, and shorts for the weekend.
All-time favorite piece of clothing
GapFit basic black running shorts with zippers on both sides of my hips and a back pocket for my phone.
Orange Zoom VaporFly’s and a Sonos Play 1.
What you’ve learned from customers
Customers will pay more for product that is well-made and high-quality. Yes, price is important to them, but they also want value. They want to invest in quality pieces.
Favorite Gap Inc. moment
Back in 2006, in Gap Outlet, I presented my first OTB to the senior directors at the time. I was able to get through it even though I was super nervous. I knew from there, I wasn’t in college anymore.
Store clerk at True (a hip-hop clothing store) in the Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco.
Running my first marathon. Never thought I could do it, until I did it.
Always puts you in a good mood
Hawaiian reggae music, sports documentaries, and a good run.
“The Bay” by Zion I
Something people don’t know about you
I used to be in a rap group in high school called the Lyrical Geniuses.
What makes you most excited to come to work in the morning?
Being able to motivate my team, and giving them the autonomy to grow their careers. Beyond that, working with my team to effect change in our organization is one of the things that gets me most excited each and every day.
What makes your job unique?
Normally, in Inventory Strategy, you wouldn't be so interconnected with the business. However, in my role here at Gap, I’m tied to the business very tightly. Also, I get to work with so many teams: IM, Merchandising, Production, Finance, Marketing, Strategy, just to name a few!
Why Gap Inc.?
Not many companies are like Gap. I’ve been to other places, and really and truly, Gap cares about its people. It’s cliché, but couldn't be more true here.
