Window shopping is now a reminder to "connect the drops."
Banana Republic, with a headquarters in San Francisco, California, wanted to bring attention to the California drought through a message of sustainability and water conservation. So they did it in the best way they knew how — through fashion.
Store windows across California now show the latest Banana Republic collections next to messages about the drought and water conservation, aiming to bring greater awareness to water scarcity issues facing the state. It's part of the Connect the Drops campaign in partnership with Ceres: a nonprofit advocating sustainability. It's not the first time the brand took a meaningful step toward being more conscious about our environmental impact.
