One of 25 best companies for women.

Gap Inc. was listed 13th on the Daily Worth’s list of top 25 Best Companies for Women. The female-focused financial and career site combed through 800 companies to create its list, analyzing each for upward mobility and a culture of support for women and their families through benefits, perks and leadership values.

Gap Inc. was listed among other top-tier businesses, including Facebook, IBM, Yahoo, and Piper Jaffray, among others.

Our company was lauded for its commitment to female hires, which makes up 74 percent of all employees, and for a leadership roster that is 47 percent women in high positions. The company was also recognized for its Women in Leadership group that serves as a mentoring opportunity for female employees.

On average, our women employees are paid at a one-to-one ratio compared to their male counterparts across our organization. That’s dollar for dollar, pound for pound, yen for yen, euro for euro; we pay people based on the work they do and the value they bring to our company.
