Behind Banana Republic's Mad Men “Mod Pod”

How do you take an already highly anticipated launch to the next level?

Well, for this year’s latest Banana Republic Mad Men collection, we decided to go with an exclusive and unique Los Angeles pop-up shop we dubbed the “Mod Pod.”

For two days Banana Republic set up shop at the famous Grove shopping center in Los Angeles, converting an airstream trailer into a full-blown makeover station replete with a fitting room and plenty of space for beautifying. Media and shoppers alike were offered head-to-toe mod makeovers and were able to take home pieces from the limited edition collection. 


The kick-off event on Feb. 26 featured supermodel Coco Rocha, who is the face of the Banana Republic Mad Men collection’s advertising campaign. She was joined by “Mad Men” Costume Designer Janie Bryant, who was on-site helping renowned LA fashion bloggers such as Sydne Style, Stay Classic, CouldIHaveThat and others style mod looks from the collection.  

So far the collection has pulled in great coverage in media outlets like E! News, and online via US Weekly, Glamour, InStyle and Entertainment Weekly, among many others.
