In one of the world’s largest recorded storms with wind speeds reaching up to 190 miles an hour, Typhoon Haiyan hit the central and southern islands of the Philippines with the force of a tornado, killing and injuring thousands.
Rescue and recovery organizations from around the world are pouring into the storm-battered areas to coordinate relief efforts. Critical infrastructure, such as water, power, shelter and communication, is non-existent.
Gap Foundation is providing a grant in the amount of $65,000 to CARE, which is on the ground delivering food, water, shelter and other essentials to the survivors. The grant will focus on facilitating long-term recovery and resilience through shelter, infrastructure, and economic development.
Gap Foundation also is partnering with our brands to donate $35,000 in clothing based on local needs.

Our hearts go out to those impacted by this devastating typhoon.
