Who doesn’t want to dress like Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the stylish actress behind Veep’s Selina Meyer?
Louis-Dreyfus, one of the few people in the known universe who could follow Amy Poehler, is Old Navy’s newest comedic star.
Check out the commercial, which is the first of several ads featuring the actress (they’ll run from now through the summer).
The story starts at the holiday dinner table, with Julia ultimately ditching the “Turpigen” (a chicken inside of a pig inside of a turkey, of course) to run to Old Navy for a sweet sweater. Like Amy’s spots, Julia’s spots will feature her in various situations – always pleased with herself, but never so much that she can’t drop everything in the name of great deals.
Like her predecessor, Julia has been very hands-on with the spots, the first two of which are being directed by Francis Ford-Coppola’s son, Roman.
Stay tuned for more hilariousness!
