25—it’s one of those seminal numbers in life that usually calls for celebration and marks a milestone.
We’re talking about a 40-story office/retail tower with 17 floors dedicated to shopping and restaurants! And 11,878 square feet of that space belongs to Gap Adult and Kids/Baby, split between two shops.
Like the majority of our openings, this past week’s grand opening was one big celebration. Local television star and former “Mr. Hong Kong,” Alan Wan, served as emcee. Throughout the weekend huge lines snaked through both shops and even out the door at some points during the day. Among the hottest selling items? Gap’s logo product, particularly its city logo Ts.
Gap Hysan is Hong Kong’s third location and speaks to our ongoing global growth strategy; by the end of this year we’ll have approximately 45 stores across China! Not bad, considering we came into the China market just under two years ago.
The Gap Hysan team is already looking forward to representing our brand in full force. As Gap Hysan General Manager Jeffy Yuen put it, “We can’t wait to rock the sales.”
